The Pelt
Short and tangled fur makes residence on Northbreaker's body. Soft as a feather and stunning in colour, its appearance often contrasts what his fur is capable of looking like. If taken care of, his fur lies neatly along his back. It is nearly spotless, not a stray briar, thorn, or leaf fragment to be found entangled in it. His fur takes on a glossy and healthy glow, enriching its already brilliant colour. Kept neat and tidy, his fur bestows a look of elegance upon him. However, Northbreaker seldom keeps his pelt in order. Matted and sprawling in several directions, his pelt remains a mess the majority of the time. All amounts of objects in the territory manage to find their way onto his fur. Fortunately, Northbreaker cleans up well. Before any ceremony of importance, he will spend a notable amount of time 'freshening up'. Once again he will regain a look of elegance and grandeur.
Northbreaker sports a mostly red pelt. Neither bright nor dull, it takes on a russet-based tint; as if a rusty colour had been mixed with it. Several areas do appear to have more of a brown hue, but are not drastic enough to make a notable difference. In a candlelight setting (or sunset in this case), his fur turns a deep shade and bases around a single colour. In the lighting of a sunrise, his fur gains watercolour-like properties - paler in colour as if painted with pastels. Several dark brown stripes run along his face, the majority of them winding down his forehead and ending above his eyes. Two others form a beeline across his cheekbone. Northbreaker's pelt also contains a second colour: off white. A milky patch residing below his chin prevents him from being solely red. The bottom portion of his muzzle and a small area of his stomach also carry this colour.
The Build
Limber and lithe, there is no doubt Northbreaker has a typical feral build. A small, lean frame constitutes the young tom. His body is smaller and more defined than the average cat. The majority of his figure is made up of well-toned muscles, consequently hidden beneath his fur and small physique. Despite being well-developed, his poor coordination prevents him from using many head-on techniques. His attacks often miss their target or cause inconsiderable damage. However, he does not lack the agility and speed needed to dodge blows. This ability becomes his main strategy: evading attacks until his opponent begins to tire.
Despite bearing a slim build, Northbreaker has bulky paws. The size of his paws come in handy while hunting. They allow him to hit a wider range, which in turn aids his ability to subdue prey. Their force does not apply to his fighting abilities, where his paws are rendered completely useless. Northbreaker's mouth is home to rows of sharp fangs. They are neither razor sharp nor dull, but do their job well and effectively. This also applies to his hooked, charcoal -coloured claws. Sharp, pointed ears are situated on the sides of his head; seemingly awkward because of their large size. They have a tendency of twitching, often involuntarily. Although not an odd site to see on a cat, they twitch quite often and for no apparent reason. The milky white whiskers that extend from Northbreaker's nose also twitch at random moments.
The Eyes
Light green eyes are situated on Northbreaker's face; both of which blend in with his sharp facial features. Thin, black rings border their edges, mirroring the vivid colours found elsewhere on his body. He often holds his eyes half open, more involuntarily then voluntarily. Northbreaker's eyes reflect a piercing edge to his personality - both reveal a probing and intuitive mix. His eyes easily capture and hold any who dare to meet his stare. As it is best to avoid his gaze, those who speak to him go to great lengths to do this. Northbreaker has noted an obvious lack of eye contact.
The Wings
Large, powerful wings sprout from Northbreaker's sides. Red remains their dominant colour - a feature supported on most of his body. Dark brown flecks cover the lower portion of his wings, while a creamy white colour highlights the top. To compensate for his lack of physical power, Northbreaker has learned to use his wings quite effectively. Their large size allows him to take off quickly and remain airborne for long periods of time. This stamina and power comes as a great asset in battle. Where he is unable to effectively attack opponents on the ground, he is fully capable of attacking them in the air.
The Notable Marks
Northbreaker bears several notable scars. The first winds across his shoulder, while several smaller scars cross his forelegs. Northbreaker's largest scar covers the entirety of his left hind-leg - visible even underneath his long fur. His final scar marks the outside of his right wing. This mark often draws unwanted attention - the nuisance of prying eyes and hushed whispers.
